Hook Norton Care Group

The Hook Norton Care Group is a Day Centre for elderly people in the village and the surrounding area.

It meets each Monday (Bank Holiday Mondays excluded) from 10 am – 3.0 pm in the Baptist Hall, Netting Street. Transport is provided by volunteers for those clients requiring it. Pat Stratford is the Co-ordinator, Rosemary Allan assistant co-ordinator and a small team of volunteers help out each week with the main activities.

A varied programme of activities are provided for the clients which may include quizzes, bingo, gentle exercise, sing alongs and the occassional outing. Refreshments are served and general opportunity given to socialise and chat.

A main meal is cooked and provided around midday for all the clients.A foot care service and local library service are also provided once a month. A small charge is paid each week by the client.
