Hook Norton Playground

Postby emma » Mon Jul 27, 2009 5:01 pm

The playground is damaged, old and in need of replacement. The PC are looking for volunteers to be "Friends of Hook Norton Playground" who can coordinate grant applications, direct the choice of equipment, and make sure the playground meets the needs of the community. I for one don't want to see the playground go, so anyone fancy joining me? emmakane@gmail.com

Or, if you've got comments on the playground and what you'd like to see improved, please do post.....
or join us on facebook..http://apps.facebook.com/causes/324793

Thanks

Hi Emma
Since seeing you at the playground on Tuesday and passing the word round, there's lots of support for doing something about the playground. Especially seeing it today now that the big slide has come down - the children looked so disappointed. It's a great place at the centre of the village to meet up and having such a lovely, safe, open space makes it a very special place for everyone. More then happy to help out with support.

Hi Emma,

Thought i would drop you a line as it is very distressing to see the park now and to see the kids faces when they realise that the large climbing frame/slide has been removed.I understand that it was not safe however the Parish Council should have a duty of care to repair or replace this item, maybe we should attend the next council meeting and inform them that this park is well used by mums, dads, grandparents etc and people from outside the village who have heard how good it is and that under no circumstances should it be left in the state it is in or that it is not wanted or used or that we would be happy for bits of the park to be sold off!!!!!!!!
