Walking near the fire station at 2pm yesterday (Tuesday March 2nd) Ian Buchanan and myself watched a skein
of around thirty Canada Geese fly low across the village from south west to north east, noisily enjoying the sunshine
and blue sky.

They reminded me of the fascinating film, based on a true story, about a young girl who finds a clutch of Canada
Goose eggs and manages to hatch them out. Naturally they think she is their mother and bond to her. When it
comes time for them to migrate she has to learn how to fly a microlight aircraft to lead them south for the winter.

The film is called Fly Away Home. If you put Fly Away Home trailer into your Google search box,
you can watch clips from the film etc.

Enjoy !
